His silence after her answer both scared Ana and made her curious. Was he feeling the same way? Was she just being stupid and gullible? Was she just 'another girl' for him? Or was she more? Ana smiled gently up at him, though mildly shocked by their extreme closeness. Oh boy Alexis would not like this. This thought made her fight back a small laugh and she bit her lip tightly. She didn't want to have to start over, taking down her protective shell. It was a very rare thing for Ana to let down her guard like this.

Daniel's eyes started to glaze as he stared into hers. He didn't like when this happened between him and a new girl. He didn't know how she would respond. Once it was horrible, and once it was fantastic, but how would Anastasia be? He swallowed hard, licking his lips, wondering what he should do at this moment. Daniel bit down on his lip, but didn't keep his teeth there long.
He brought a hand up to Anastasia's face and held it at her cheek. He had to do it- he was taking the plunge, and only time would be able to tell how Anastasia reacted towards it. Daniel leaned in slowly, kissing Ana gently on the lips for a few seconds, before pulling away, and opening his eyes, looking into hers. As he cought her gaze yet again, his face turned pink, and his cheeks got hot.

Ana should of stopped it when she saw it coming, at least according to Ashley and Ryan's ideas. But she didn't want to stop it. His skin felt so warm and supportive on her cheek and the kiss. Wow The kiss was so soft and gentle, and his lips on hers... When he pulled away she smiled at him, before ducking her head and looking out at the ocean. She had never kissed a boy before dating him. What a rebel she thought with a small grin. She looked back at him, and noticed it was not hers, but his cheeks that were red and she brought a soft hand to his face. She smiled softly at him, keeping her eyes trained on his. She wanted him to know it was ok; however unconventional it seemed.

Daniel's cheeks were still hot, even when he felt Anastasia's cool hands on them. He smiled at her, and tilted his head, looking into her eyes, but not catching her gaze. Daniel started to speak, but felt that the timing was horrible, and instead of words- a small laughter escaped his lips. He licked them nervously, and scanned Anastasia's eyes for emotions. Had he just screwed up? Would this girl hate him, now? He swallowed hard and sucked on his teeth, but couldn't help to have these questions running wild in his mind.

Ana bit her lip, sensing an awkwardness growing. Oh great, you scared off another one Ana. Nice job. But then she saw it. The shyness she always felt, the insecurity was reflected in his eyes and she knew his troubles. She smiled, excited she had figured it out, and knew what she had to do. She leaned forward and gently kissed him softly on the lips, her hand staying rested on his cheek. The ocean crashed below them, so romantic.

Daniel was more than surprised when Anastasia leaned in again, kissing him gently on the lips. He wondered, where this would lead to as he kissed her back ever so gently. Daniel pulled away, looking into her eyes again, knowing that if she wasn't having feelings for him, then she wouldn't have kissed him a second time. He bit down on his lip, having high hopes that this girl could be his. She would either be his, or destroy him completely. Daniel swallowed hard, and turned to look at the ocean, then back at Ana, hearing nothing but crashing waves, and seeing nothing but her beautiful eyes.

Ana was sure she had done the right thing, right? But then why wasn't he responding? She bit her lip nervously, fidgeting with the ring on her finger. Her gaze tried to stay at the ocean but she kept looking back at him regardless. Had she made a mistake? Was it too much? She was never good with these relationship things, much to her dislike. When she spoke her voice was quiet and cracked, nearly a whisper, "Daniel?"

Daniel didn't reply right away, he turned and looked at the crashing waves below. It seemed the longer you stayed out here, the harder the waves crashed and threatened to drench you on the high rock. He bit down on his lip and sucked his teeth nervously.
"Yeah, Anastasia?" he said, turning to look at her as he brought a hand to her cheek. He leaned in and kissed her gently, "It's alright. You okay?" he asked, knowing that sometimes words couldn't even describe how you feel, that the only thing you could do was physical, or.. nothing at all.

When he first didn't reply she grew even more nervous and started biting her lip. But then she melted again at his touch and another soft kiss. "Yeah..I'm okay. Are you....okay?" She continued to mess with the ring on her finger, something to keep her distracted. She was so unsure of what had just happened and apparently so was he. Confusion was so...confusing. Droplets of water splashed onto the bottom of her jeans and hit her bare toes. It was so cold and fresh, it made you remember the power of the ocean.

Daniel released a long, content sigh as his eyes scanned the glossy waters that would constantly roar and send splashes up upon he and Anastasia. He chewed on his lower lip, softly, but enough to make a slight impression. Daniel swallowed hard, and turned back to face Ana. Was it just him, or was Ana nervous about this as well? He raised his eyebrows at the thought, but lowered them at ease.
"Yeah, I've never been better, Anastasia," he said. Daniel didn't really know what to say, like he had thought so many times before, words weren't always appropriate, something that he had learned at a younger age. Daniel had matured quickly, much faster than any other kid he knew, and came to realize things that adults realized, and often realized when they were much younger. Lucky him. He was lucky; not just for the reason of realization, but for meeting Anastasia, a girl that could possibly make his life worth living, or even better.

Ana let out a soft sigh of relief. She hadn't messed up. It was ok, at least as far as she could tell. "That's...wonderful Daniel. I'm glad." She smiled satisfied up at him. Her eyes caught his again and she felt the urge to kiss him again, but knew she shouldn't. "I'm glad I fell in the sand earlier this afternoon. Otherwise, who knows what could of happened?" Ana blushed under the dark sky, feeling all shy again.

Daniel laughed softly, and gently, looking back at Ana. He smiled and raised his eyebrows, "Well, in some sort of manner, I'm glad that you fell in the sand today, as well. I'm also glad that I was there to pick you up," he said, smiling as he looked into her eyes. There it was- that urge. He wanted to lean in and kiss her gently on the lips, but was afraid to, he was scared of what might happen. Daniel figured that this girl had other boys on her mind, and since she was so gorgeous, they probably had her on their minds as well. He bit down on his lip in a harsh manner, wondering if she had mentioned a brother, although he was sure she had. What would her brother do to him if he found out that he had been kissing his little sister. Daniel looked into her eyes and realized that he could easily fall in love with this girl. He seen what was on the inside, and adored it. Daniel sucked on his teeth, scared of what might happen in the future, but trying to focus on the present.

Ana laughed softly. "Yes the picking up part was nice as well. Even more so, cleaning off these lovely jeans of mine. I just bought them when I went shopping with your sister." She smiled sweetly at him, squeezing tightly on to her hands, to restrain herself. How had she deserved to meet this angel? She had been content with observing Ashley, knowing she could never get him. But now to find Daniel, she was torn. Ryan would have to be spoken to, most definitely. Ana didn't get it though. Why would Daniel like her? She wasn't that pretty, and she was awfully shy. She didn't see herself worthy of him.

Daniel shrugged and a smile popped slowly onto his lips. He turned and looked at the ocean, his mind was traveling into deep thought about this girl, even though he had repeatedly told himself that nothing was a big deal, it would all be okay, and to just think about the present instead of worrying about the future and past. He licked his lips and titled his head, looking back at Anastasia, not knowing of anything to say, or speak of.
He lowered his hand from her face, not fully realizing that it had still been there and placed it on her thigh. That's where it landed, Daniel was not trying to 'feel her up' nor scare her and hoped that he hadn't. He did have the intention of making an impression on her and hoped so.
"This has been one great night, huh?" he asked, looking into her blue eyes.

Ana nervously ran her fingers through her blonde hair, pushing it behind her ear. She blushed, feeling his warm hand leaving her cheek and the blush grew more when his hand was placed onto her thigh. She brought up her eyes to look at him, trying to push the blush away. "Yeah, almost too good to be true," she said and then added, "like a wonderful fairytale." She bit her lip and tried not to freak out about anything or everything that had, and was happening.
