Lucas laid on his back in the grounds. Students ran past to get to class, he just wasn't in the mood today. He just felt like laying there, taking in the calm of everything around him. Though, it wasn't really that calm anywhere because, well, it was school. And, of course, so many people expected so much for him. At times, he just wanted it all to go away.
As he laid there, he heard a familiar sound. He smiled, turning to look at who was approaching, and then went back to watching the clouds drift lazily through the sky.

Teagan walked across the quad, smiling as she saw someone laying on the ground. She flopped down on the ground, next to him, staring up at the sky watching the clouds--which he was doing also. "Relaxing, isn't it?" she inquired, leaning up on one elbow and leaning over so she was in the male's line of vision.

Lucas nodded lightly. "Very. Screw class today. It's healthy to skip once in a while. Even though I skip once a week. Oh well. The teachers will live." He said, putting his hands behind his head and turning to look at Teagan. "So, tell me, why aren't you in class?"

"It bores me," Teagan said, flippantly, grinning at the male. She moved her free hand out in front of her, to shake hands with him, "I'm Teagan, by the way." she said, with a smile.

Lucas smiled. It was the usual smile. Nothing but a mask. "Hello Teagan. I'm Lucas. Lucas Murray." He said, taking her hand gently for a moment and then returning it behind his head. "So, are you new here? I'm sure I'd have most likely noticed you around here. I know almost everyone."

"Nope, not new...just not popular," Teagan said, with a hint of a laugh. "I don't do the school scene very well." she informed, laying back on the grass, her eyes drifting back up to the sky.

"You know, I thought I used to do it pretty well. Now I know I do it too well. It sucks. Can't go just about anywhere without having someone annoy me about school or sports or something. It just doesn't end." He said, watching the clouds. "I'm just like a cloud. My shape may change, but in the end, I have no control over where I go."

"That's pretty deep, but also intensely depressing," Teagan said, turning her head slightly so that she was looking at Lucas. Her hair fell in her face, but she didn't bother to move it to the side.

Lucas gave a gentle shrug. He turned to look at her, and wasn't prepared for the change, and quickly looked away. Something was wrong with him lately. First Alice this morning, and now Teagan. He couldn't figure any of it out. He had to get ahold of himself fast or he would go nuts. "So, Teagan, what grade are you in?"

"Senior, my last year in this hell hole," Teagan said, thoughtfully, pushing a stray strand of her hair out of her face. "But, I think I might miss it when I'm gone, oddly enough."

Lucas nodded, sitting up slowly so the blood rushing from his head wouldn't make him pass out or get dizzy. "Lucky you. I can't wait to get out of here. And, I'm not sure if I'll miss it either. This place gives me nothing but trouble. Not to mention I don't really have anything here worth remembering. Except maybe a friend or two of course."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I think I'll just miss the social enviornment more than anything, I mean when you're used to seeing people everyday.." Teagan gave a hint of a shrug, sitting up as well. She pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. "You just don't realize how much you're really around them, you know."

Lucas nodded sadly. "Yeah, but there are those people here I can't wait to get away from. Maybe then I can finally move forward in my life and not have to remember half the crap I went through." He said, thoughts of Lucy flashing through his mind. His whole body tensed, his hands becoming large fists, the knuckles going white. "Yeah, can't wait to get away from here."

Teagan frowned, "I see that I've made you remember something you didn't want to be remembering," she said, noticing his tension. "I apologize, my foot kind of likes to live in my mouth," she said, smiling gently.
