For once in her life, or for once in the life of her beloved camera; Ryan was without her camera. Not because she had lost it, or left it behind, but she had always viewed the world through a camera lens. As much as she loved it, she couldn't help but think, ' How strange' it often made her wonder if the camera gave the world that extra flare that she loved so much; so far the answer was yes.
The sky seemed dull, and even though the setting sun hit the grass a certain way, it looked slightly different. The playground didn't have that artistic isolation she often captured, but just isolation. Boring and empty isolation. The thought startled her, making her feel as if her camera gave her life, so with out it she was what? She didn't know.
Taking hold of the chain that held the swings up, the dark haired girl sighed and took a seat. The swings had once upon a time been her favorite place. Swinging as high as she could in hopes that, some how she would flip over the bar, and with it flip the world. At least the world as she knew it. When it never happened she called on her camera to flip the world and see it in a different light.
Slowly at first she started to swing, hanging onto the high hopes that used to be her biggest dream. Until in the setting sun she realized a shadow of a person moving toward her. In her shyness she bowed her head, and scuffed her feet in the dry dirt below her, stopping the swing altogether as she waited. Waited for whom ever it was to talk.

Anastasia stumbled into what appeared to be a park near the school. It was strange going to a private school after going to such a large public school back home. Home. That was a different word now these days. Home was still back in Revere, Massachusetts; not here in Berlin, New Hampshire. It was all her father's fault, or that's who Ana was putting the blame on these days.
It was a small park, with some playground equipment scattered among the trees. It was dark, quiet and rather lonely. A dark figure sat on one of the swings and in the light cast a familar shadow. Anastasia's heart began to race as she approached the girl. Could it be? Was it her? Swallowing her shyness she came to face the figure and her jaw dropped. "Ryan!?"

Ryan stared at the ground, a puzzled expression on her face. She was sure that she was going insane. Last she knew Anastasia was back home, but she could hear her voice clearly right by her. Perhaps She was having withdrawls from her only true friend.. From someone she really trusted? Well it was a far thought considering the girl near her knew her name. Not many people here did.
Looking up her brown eyes grew wide in shock, she wasnt going insane. Her friend was right there. Jaw dropped open she stumbled to stand from the swing, but leaned back too far in an attempt to pull up and fell backward. Laying on the ground, her feet high in the air and hanging on the swing she groaned, "well I guess you can see, that things for me havent changed much." she muttered as she rubbed a sore spot on her head. She held her hand up hoping she would help her.

Ana squealed in excitement and leaped to help up her friend. Being around Ryan had taught her to be wary for her accident proneness and picking her friend up was not an old task. She yanked on Ryan's hand and brought her into a tight hug. "I can't believe it's really you!" The shock and surprise of seeing her best friend, here, in New Hampshire was mind blowing. She had thought they would never see each other again after the move. She pulled back and smiled widely at Ryan. "What are you doing here?"

Ryan grinned as Anastasia helped her up. She hugged the blonde girl and pulled back allowing herself to breath and getting a chance to brush herself off, "Well as you know, everything was all planned for me to move in with my brother Shane, but he was lucky he could afford college, and a dorm; let alone an apartment, and a little sister. So I had to move back with my parents, who moved out here." she took a pause and plopped herself into a swing again, "Mom wanted to move out here, something about the closeness of the buildings made her sick, claustrophobic, and at least out here there was more breathing room."
She shook her head with anger, annoyed that she had been tossed into this whole mess, "anyway, I knew that you moved, but we never got to discuss where you were moving, or why. I just knew it was New Hampshire."

Anastasia took a seat on a swing next to Ryan. Her face cracked into a small smile, first time in days, at the mention of Shane. "That's good that Shane is doing well at college. Pity you couldn't move out there though I'm glad we can be together again." Her eyes rolled up at the sky hearing Ryan's mother complaining again. "There's always something wrong isn't there?" She leaned back and propelled her swing forward. "Yeah I just got accepted here," Ana said with a crooked grin. "Not quite sure what to think of it."[/font]

Ryan smirked and nudged AC with her elbow, "still sweet on my brother then?" she asked, "By the way, I'll let Ashley know his Air conditioner said hi." Now she couldn't hold back the laugh. Since they were kids, Her brother always made fun of Anastasia with her initials. Which were also short for Air Conditioner.
She gave her head a small nod, "yes true though, Living with Ashley would have been a blast, except his new girl friend." She pulled a face hear and made a gagging noise, "The Chicks like, high class, and wont step foot outside in anything but designer cloths

Anastasia could feel her face heating up and was glad for the dark cover. She let out a cough-like laugh before looking back at Ryan. "Thanks. Tell him Mary-kate is still looking for him. And I have no idea what you are talking about," she said refering to 'being sweet on her brother.' She couldn't let it be that obvious she liked her best friend's older brother. But then a micro-expression of anger and jealousy flashed to her face. "Oh he has a new girlfriend? He doesn't seem like the one to like a girl like that."[/font]

Ryan gave a laugh, "Will do." she said before an Idea crossed her mind, "HEY, maybe we could call him together on speaker phone. They do have a place to call here right?" She was sure they did but she couldnt remember. Givingher small shoudlers a shrug she started to swing slowly, "Anyway I dont think he does. Besides I know Ashley better than anyone, and He's jsut looking for that little bit of.. well something that will always be there." A smile sparng to her face. She had been planning on sending her own brother an e-mail sometime over the next few days and maybe the phones were near the computer area. "Yeah I'm sure they must have a place to make phone calls; we aren't in prison, exactly."
Ana let out a small laugh and pumped her legs some more causing her to swing higher. "I understand. Just like me and Alexis." Her brother hated being called that and insisted people called him Alex, but his birth certificate technically said Alexis; just a small typo error. "I just hope one day he finds the girl he has been looking for."[/font]

RYan grinned, an average blush forming on her cheeks, "Yeah well it feels like a prison to be honest." she skidded to a hault on the swing, " We'll have to go Hunting!" She jumped up like when they were kids, finally able to be herself around someone here. She was always hyper as a kid, until she fell infront of her life long crush. Then she was shy until she became close to someone.
"Yeah, hope we dont have a curfew, with your sense of direction, and My horrid habbit of falling, we might not be ack until next march." She did her best to ignore the Mention of Alexis. He just happened to be the crush she fell infront of when she was younger. It took her until 8th grade beore she could even look at him, and still she has to fight a blush when she does, "Oh he's found her, he just isnt willing to admit it."

Her friend's excitement was contagious and Ana leapt off her swing landing unsteadily on the ground. She reached for something to support her but just found air. "Hunting for what exactly? And knowing this place we do have a curefew. But I'm sure our skills will pull us through." Her voice had a hint of sarcasm in it as she turned grinning to face her friend. But her next words surprised her. "Really you think? Who?" It was obviously noticable her voice had grown higher and lighter, mouse-like. [/font][/center] |

Ryan saw her friend leap up and then almost fall so she attempted to catch her. Attempted being the main word in that sentence. As She ended up slipping on dry earth, and landing in a heap on the ground. She grinned up from the dirt, "well I suppose I've created a new record here AC." she started as she picked herself up, "I fell twice in the last 20 minutes, and Havent broken, sprained or twisted anything."
She tried to ignore what she had been asked, "Well we can talk about it later. Right now, Perhpas we should find a phone, unless there is something else, you want to talk about?" [/size][/center] |

Ana collapsed into a fit of giggles at her friend's wild fall. She bent over, trying to help her friend up. "Yeah we ought to have a party celebrating this record. Except for the fact we hardly know anyone here. But we are cool enough to have a party for just the two of us." Ana said with a small laugh.
Her face grew serious though as her friend brushed off what she had wanted to hear the most. "Yeah finding a phone would be good. Would there be phones at a park?" She quickly did her best to look around the park, her eyes barely penetrating the dark. Yeah there was something she wanted to talk about, more specifically a someone. But she couldn't say that, not to Ryan. So best to focus on that phone. [/font][/center] |

"Oh yeah lets get the roof.. uh... pumping?" Ana said with a small laugh. She knew that the last thing AC wanted was to go look for a phone, even if it was to call their brothers. She sighed and sat on that part of the park that was concrete and looked up, "Sit down Chico, and talk to meh."
She waited a few minutes sitting on the ground, "Dude you had better plant your butt right here, and talk to me, other wise I wont know whats going on in that head of yours understand?" [/size][/center] |
