Lucas walked out of the guys locker room. He had on his jersey, just for the hell of it really. It had his number, 20, a long with his name written on the back. There was nothing better than starting out the day with a little work out to relieve stress. And what better way than shooting some hoops.
So, he lined up at his favorite spots, letting all the stress of school, girls, and everything else just flow away as he took shot after shot, letting it cleans him. He was so into his shots, he hadn't noticed someone else come into the gym as well.

Not many knew it but Alice was indeed an athlete. Normally she did her work outs and such at home. But today she'd decided that one time in the gym wouldn't kill her.
So, as she walked into the gym, in her shorts and baby tank top, she stopped against the wall. Seemed she wasn't the only one with the idea of a morning work out. She watched a boy shooting hoops. Not bad. She thought as she watched him for another moment. "You're not bad you know?" Alice called to him, smiling a little.

Lucas stopped, the sound of the basketball bouncing away ringing in his ears. He turned to look at a girl, and almost fell over. What was it lately? He couldn't keep himself together. "Um, hey. Thanks. I try. But, really, I don't need a big head. It's big enough as it is. Or at lest that's what my friends say." He said, laughing and rubbing his neck. He walked over to the bleachers, taking his towel and wiping his face and taking a drink of water.
"I don't think I've seen you around before. Name's Lucas." He said with a lopsided grin, trying to cover the fact she had completely taken him by surprise. Not many people worked out in the gym in the morning. Except him of course.

Alice laughed quietly as he almost fell over. "No biggie. Well I'm sure your friends are right." She said smiling and pushing off of the wall. As he walked over to the bleachers she walked over to the basketball and picked it up.
"You probably haven't. I spend as little time out as possible. Spend more of my time at home. The name's Alice. Nice meeting you." She glanced over at him and tossed the ball into the hoop, not even having to look at the hoop to do so.

Lucas nodded in greeting, and his jaw almost dropped to the floor when she made the shot. Damn this girl had some skills. But, he carefully composed himself, putting on a smile and leaning on the bleachers. "Not half bad, not half bad. You know, you should join the girls team. I mean, their good, but with you, they would definitely do a lot better this year."

She turned to look at him more directly and started walking over to him. "I'll think about it, but I'm sure I already know the answer. Teams aren't my thing." She shrugged abit. "But thanks for the compliment." She smirked and stopped in front of him.

"You're welcome." He said. He couldn't believe he had never really seen her around before. She was really cute. But, he had to knock that off. He didn't need to lose focus like that. He never let his feelings take control. No matters what, he would never let it happen. Though, she was cute. "So, what grade are you in?"

Alice looked at him, thinking abit. She'd probably seen him somewhere. The halls perhaps. Though she couldn't tell for sure. "Eleventh. You?" She asked as reached into her pocket and pulled a hairtie out of her pocket. Smiling alittle she reach back, putting her hair into a high, messy ponytail.

Lucas nodded, glad for the basketball jersey and shorts to keep him from heating up. It was hard enough as it was. "Cool. I'm in eleventh as well. One more year after this and it's done. Go off to college and then who knows where. I can't wait." He said, yawning slightly. He had worked harder than he realized.

Looking around Alice nodded abit. Then she looked back at him. "Yeah, I can't wait for college. After that no more school. Which will rock. After college I'm never picking a book up again." She laughed quietly. It wasn't that she hated school it just added too much stress to her already stressed out life.

"For sure. I'm just tired of the endless drama. He slept with her, but she kissed him. It just never ends. Though, it certainly keeps life interesting, sometimes it's just too much." He said, looking at the clock. They still had a little while before the first class, so he figured he'd sit down and relax. So, he did, leaning his back against the bleachers. "You know, you can have a seat. I don't bite."

Alice laughed, nodding abit. "I know what you mean. I find it rather stupid. Who cares who's getting who and who wants who? It's rather over rated if you ask me." Alice's eyes glanced around the room and stopped on the clock. When she heard his words she rolled her eyes abit and looked at him. "You don't? That's surprising. You like the type that would bite." She smirked abit and plopped down next to him.

"Okay, so I lied. I do bite..." He said, smirking playfully. "But, not too hard. Just being playful." He let his legs straight out in front of himself, closing his eyes and breathing deeply. The school was always so calm this early in the morning. It was kind of relaxing. No one would have known that far too soon the hallways would be flooding and students would be cramming into every nook and cranny of the place.

Alice smirked, rolling her eyes abit. "You know that's what the last guy said before he bite me. I won't go into what I did after that." She tried not to laugh as she glanced over at him. Stretching a little she glanced up at the clock. She wished it would just stop moving so that she'd never have to go to class, but she knew that wasn't possible. Sighing a little she looked back over at him.

Lucas burst out laughing. Cute. Athletic. Sense of humor. Dang, this girl must have it all. But, he pushed it away, crossing his arms and opening his eyes to look at the ceiling. "Well, I'm sure whatever happened, the guy deserved it." He said, adding a mental note never to piss her off. Something about the way she said it made it seem like she was the last person the guy messed with.
